CNC Animal Ambassadors - Corn Snake

The juvenile amelanistic Cornsnake came to the Chattanooga Nature Center on June 1, 2004 as a baby. The TWRA took him from a home where he was purchased illegally and placed him with us as an exhibit and education animal. Visitors and staff alike are enjoying watching him grow larger and larger. Look for him in his new grown-up snake enclosure in the upcoming Hidden Animals of the Forest display. He is now eating 1 rat pinkie every Monday.

Our male Cornsnake was captive born, turned in, and then donated by a local veterinarian per the request of TWRA in October of 2001. He is a very docile exhibit and education animal. He is almost always used in the CNC Herpetology programs. He eats 1 small rat every other week in the spring and summer months.
