Join Up and Become Earthkeepers Today!
Do you like to go on hikes, take canoe trips, and see wild animals up close? Would you like to learn more about nature and how you can help save it? If your answer is yes, then you need to join the Chattanooga Nature Center Earthkeeper program today!
Beginning in June, you can participate individually, or as a family, in this exciting new program. All you have to do is participate in five CNC programs (in three different categories as listed below) over the course of one year. Besides having lots of fun and learning more about the natural world, you will receive the following rewards:
- $15 certificate towards a CNC membership for the following year
- Recognition in the CNC newsletter and website.
CNC programs generally fall into 3 categories:
1) educational programs—live animal talks, bird and wildflower walks, nature journaling;
2) outdoor adventures—hikes, caving and canoe trips; and
3) environmental action experiences and workshops—composting, creek cleanup, invasive species removal or any volunteer work at the nature center.
To become an Earth Keeper you must participate in two educational programs, two outdoor adventures and one environmental action activity at the Chattanooga Nature Center.
In the “Public Programs” section of the CNC newsletter, each program will be identified as: “Earth Keeper – Education” or “Earth Keeper – Outdoor Adventure” or “Earth Keeper – Environmental Action.”
If you are interested in joining this program, register with the front desk personnel when signing up for your first program. It’s that simple, and the rewards will last a lifetime!
