New Red Wolf Exhibit

You may have noticed several works-in-progress taking place at CNC over the past few months. At last, the big white “curtain” has finally been removed in the Visitor Center to unveil a new exhibit devoted to the Red Wolf! This interactive addition includes the following features:

  1. Red Wolf Den – created by Duane Rousseau, a replica that kids (& kids-at-heart) can explore!
  2. Life-Size Carvings – created by Bud Ellis, including two realistic Red Wolves & an Eagle
  3. Informational Signage – with facts about the Red Wolf, as well as the American Bald Eagle, another of the food chain’s top predators
  4. Historical Timeline – outlining the chronology of important Red Wolf events
  5. Shadow Box Tracing Table – a creative hands-on activity station for kids
  6. Photos – displaying CNC’s resident Red Wolves, including RW pup pictures
  7. Artifacts – including a Red Wolf pelt, skull, foot print cast, and radio collar
  8. TV Monitor – presenting a short DVD on the RW Species Survival Plan

Plush Red Wolves: These super-soft and cuddly stuffed toys come in two adorable poses!
