Dr. Jean Lomino
Executive Director
Jean Lomino has been an educator for almost 30 years, with special expertise in the integration of the humanities and art with environmental studies. She holds a Ph.D. in Leadership with an emphasis in Environmental Education.
Jean has been with the Chattanooga Nature Center since 2002 and is the Executive Director. Jean has received training from the Wildlife Conservation Society at the Bronx Zoo, served on the board of directors for Grace Point Camp, the Tennessee River Gardens, and Ivy Academy, and was the nature center representative to a national conference in New York City, for the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development. She has been a presenter at numerous state, regional, and national conferences and attended Harvard Business School’s Executive Education program.
Jean is an adjunct professor for the graduate program in Outdoor Teacher Education at Southern Adventist University. She has backpacked in Wyoming and Montana several times and participates in a yearly six-day canoe trip in the Boundary Waters.
Kyle Waggener

Director of Education / Lead Naturalist
Kyle is a native of Independence, Missouri, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Central Missouri State University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Wildlife Conservation in 1997.
Kyle started as a Volunteer Naturalist at Lakeside Nature Center in Kansas City, Missouri in 1994 and has also worked as a Naturalist at Nature’s Classroom in Ohio and as a Naturalist / Director of Animal Care at the New Canaan Nature Center in Connecticut.
Kyle began working at the Chattanooga Nature Center in 2002 as the School Program Coordinator and was promoted to the Assistant Director of Education in 2004 and as Director of Education / Lead Naturalist in 2005.
Tina Crawford
Tina Harvey Crawford
Director of Development and Marketing
Tina Harvey Crawford has been working at Chattanooga Nature Center’s Director of Development and Marketing since 2005. She came from the Make-A-Wish Foundation where she worked in development and marketing.
Tina served as Media Relations at Hutcheson Medical Center and before that was in television broadcasting for 14 years. You may recall seeing her on Ch.12 reporting or filling in as the morning anchor.

Diane Morgan
Diane Morgan
Member and Visitor Services Manager
Diane has been employed at The Chattanooga Nature Center since 2006. Prior to working at CNC Diane has been involved in Education programs in Walker County GA; The Parent Educator (a support program that begins prenatally and extends through age five), Vista Coordinator (which has a strong emphasis on childhood literacy) and a Para Professional. Diane also worked severed years as a Pharmacy Tech.
Christina Koch
Visitor Center Manager & Volunteer Coordinator
Christina came to CNC in the spring of 2008 and is presently the Visitor Center Manager/Volunteer Coordinator. She also assists with teaching field classes for school groups. Christina has degrees in Business Administration and Music Education.
Hobbies include hiking with her Golden Retriever, singing with the Scenic City Chorus (Chattanooga’s chapter of Sweet Adelines, Intl.), teaching and playing the piano, and tending to houseplants. Interests include natural and alternative health, feng shui, trees and mushrooms, and learning more about CNC’s animal ambassadors.
