Red Eared Pond Slider

The three Red Eared Pond Slider turtles were donated to Chattanooga Nature Center on February 1, 2005. They were born in captivity; and therefore, may harbor pathogens that could infect wild turtle populations if they were released. There are two males and one female. They swim, play and bask on display inside their Visitor Center pond.

They eat aquatic turtle food like shrimp and creel, along with feeder fish and a little fruit 2 times a week.
