Invasive Plant Removal
February 12, 19, March 3 - 9 am to 1 pm
Volunteers will assist our caretaker in identifying and removing invasive plants. Approximately 8 people are needed for each day. Long pants, sleeves and layers are recommended. Plant Sale Volunteers
March 30, 31 & April 1 - During Operating Hours
The 25th Annual Marie Humphreys Spring Wildflower Festival and Native Plant Sale will be March 30 & 31 from 9am to 5pm, and April 1 from 1pm to 5pm. Volunteers are needed for four hour shifts each of these days. We will be honoring our volunteers this year with a program and wildflower walk on Wednesday, March 28 at 12:00pm (noon). Visitor Center Receptionist
Available During Regular Operating Hours
Main duties include greeting visitors and members, answering phone calls and questions, processing paperwork, and maintaining visitor areas (including the gift shop, Hidden Creatures of the Forest Exhibit, library, and restrooms). Prior experience in a customer service and/or retail setting is helpful, but not required.
Grounds & Gardens
Available During Regular Operating Hours
Volunteers assist with the upkeep of native garden areas. Tasks mainly include watering, mulching, and/ or weeding, etc. This is the perfect volunteer opportunity for those who enjoy working outside, working with their hands, or who need a flexible volunteering schedule.
Maintenance
Available Monday-Friday, 9-5
Seeking maintenance volunteers who wish assist in general repairs, and construction of new exhibits. Preference given to those with a background in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc. All maintenance projects are overseen by the property manager, hours may vary.
