Animals in the Classroom

The Chattanooga Arboretum and Nature Center has many education animals that live off exhibit but can be seen in the classroom, on the front yard perch, on the pond perch or in our traveling classrooms. Sometimes, you will see a raptor on the glove of a staff member walking around the property! All of our animals are animal ambassadors for their species but these animals lead the way in our classrooms. It’s so much more fun to learn about an animal when he is actually in the classroom with you!  If you would like to see any of these animals during your visit, you can ask the receptionist at the front desk to find a member of the wildlife staff and we will try to accommodate you.
